Queers For Years Film Screening & Discussion Manchester-based filmmakers Dub & Duffy set out to capture some of their friends’ recollections about their experiences as older lesbian and queer women by asking each of them to comment on a photo of their younger selves. The project evolved into this accomplished and moving documentary, by turns hilarious and heartbreaking, a testament to the joys and struggles of a diverse community across their lifetimes. The filmmakers themselves will be present to discuss the film after the credits roll. |

S/He is Still Her/e (2024) Film Screening R18 book your FREE ticket HERE The official Genesis P-Orridge documentary.Introduced by artist, activist, musician and curator Anne Louise Kershaw. Genesis P-Orridge, born in Manchester and schooled in Stockport, was a pioneering musician, avant-garde artist and occultist spiritual explorer. Best known as lead vocalist of the seminal industrial band Throbbing Gristle and founder of the COUM Transmissions artistic collective, they lived their art to the extreme. In 1995, Genesis married Jacqueline Breyer and together they embarked on the Pandrogeny Project, an attempt to unite as a ‘pandrogyne’—a single entity—through the use of surgical body modification in order to physically resemble one another. Genesis has been featured in films and videos, but never with the full story, and never so intimately until now. Kindly provided by Doc N Roll Films |
